AI - Microsoft introduced the new Copilot with Home, Code and Autopilot
It appears that Microsoft are really trying to make Copilot be a bit more like Claude and other similar AI tools. Which is a good thing as the basic functionality of Copilot has been somewhat limited until now 😂

We’re building Copilot as a new OS for work that spans every model, every form factor, and every task. Today, we’re announcing our biggest update to Copilot to date, bringing four things together:
- Autopilot: proactive and long-running agent built for the enterprise
- Code: build apps with Copilot, hosted inside your company’s tenant
- Home: Chat + Cowork together
- Office: now fully embedded in Copilot (and Copilot embedded in Office, of course!)
Plus, you can invoke Copilot in Teams, and we’re introducing Today, a proactive experience that surfaces the most important information from across M365 without needing to ask for it.

Introducing the new Copilot with Home, Code and Autopilot
The Copilot app now has three new capabilities:
Home is your new starting point, where Chat and Cowork come together — and with Office in Copilot, the full power of Word, Excel and PowerPoint is now built into the experience.
Code lets everyone build their own solutions with the tools to run them safely, and it’s powered by the same underlying technology as GitHub Copilot.
And Autopilot is a persistent, proactive and personal agent that keeps working even when you’re not. Home and Code will start rolling out in our Frontier program in the coming weeks and Autopilot is expanding to private preview at the end of the month.
