Azure Local - Infrastructure networking considerations and ODIN
Today I came across an interesting article about Azure Local infrastructure networking and ODIN from Cristian Edwards. I wanted to share it with a wider group as I think it is worth reading.
Azure Local networking considerations post
Cristian pointed out that there are now 11 “step by step” sections to guide an engineer through the process of designing Azure Local infrastructure networking. As there are plenty of choices from network topology to storage design, it can be difficult to know where to start. Really good to see some major improvements here 😊

Microsoft’s updated documentation
This is a great read for anyone working with Azure Local infrastructure networking as Microsoft updated their documentation which is the main point of Cristian’s post. Network considerations for cloud deployments of Azure Local
He also has a very cool 28 slide presentation that goes through the topic in detail embedded into his post, so check it out for sure!
ODIN for Azure Local
As for ODIN itself, it is an open source project though still made by Microsoft. There is a lot it can do and a fellow MVP Kristopher Turner covered it extensively in his blog ODIN for Azure Local: A Community Tool Deep Dive.
