Azure Local - Azure Firewall Explicit Proxy is generally available making Azure Local Private Path architecture fully supported

Yet again an amazing post by Cristian Edwards 🙌 thanks for sharing 😊

Azure Firewall Explicit Proxy has been GA for about a month now, but what Cristian Edwards highlighted is that this now makes the Azure Local Private Path architecture fully supported, which is AWESOME 😊

In the era of sovereign cloud and hybrid cloud, having a private path is crucial for organisations that want to keep their data and workloads safe. We all know how difficult it is to get approval for a firewall rules 🤣

Cristian puts is very succinctly here:

No direct internet access required from your Azure Local nodes → One Azure Firewall policy governing egress for every node, in your own subscription → Complete endpoint coverage over the private circuit — not just the Private Link subset

That is a big win for customers for sure 😊

NOTE
Requires Azure Local 2608 or later, and Azure Firewall Standard or Premium.
