Azure Local - SAN Supported Vendors
Very brief post to list the supported SAN vendors for Azure Local. I have seen people asking which storage vendors are supported and I thought it would be a good idea to create a post to list them.
Not because one does not exist, but it is not really apparent that this is the page that would list it 🤣
Microsoft’s Official List
The official list can be found - Supported SAN solutions on Azure Local.
The name of the page is not very intuitive, but it is the correct page.
As of today it lists:
- Dell
- Everpure
- Hitachi
- HPE
- Lenovo
- NetApp
I am specifically not going into details about each vendor, as the official documentation is the best source of information. I just wanted to make it easier to find as it is “buried” in the documentation 🤣

This list is not exhaustive and may not be up to date. Please check the official documentation for the most up to date information.
CAUTION
At the time of writing (2026-07-27), the page talks about Fibre Channel (FC) and does not mention iSCSI at all. But I think it is safe to assume that for now it is the same story for iSCSI.
